Apparently unique with this spelling error
Lot 4177
Tiberius, AD 14-37. Dupondius (Orichalcum, 30 mm, 15.56 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in Commagene, circa 19-20. TI•CAESAR•DIVI•AVGVSTI•[F•AVGVST]VS Laureate head of Tiberius to right. Rev. [PONT•MAXIM]•COS•II•IMP•VII•TR•POT•XXI Winged caduceus between two crossed cornucopiae. Cf. BMC 174, RIC I 89 and RPC I 3868 (all with COS III). Apparently unique with this spelling error. Light areas of weakness, otherwise, very fine.

From a European collection, formed before 2005.

Tiberius' second consulship does not match his 22nd tribunicia potestas chronologically. Thus, 'COS II' instead of 'COS III' is very likely a spelling error.
